You knew it was bound to happen – Elliot has added an additional chapter to her book. This one is titled “Divert Attention From the Baby Creature By Being the Cutest You Can Be.” Here’s an excerpt:
Mix it up a bit. Pretend to be an ultra-hip librarian. Don some super-cool sunglasses (that must be worn in order to see the books properly – duh!) I’ve heard the glasses only possess their supernatural seeing powers if worn upside down. I know it sounds silly, but I don’t make the rules, I just follow them.
Once you are dressed authentically for the part, read lovingly to your wee sibling. When your mother emerges from the shower, she will be delighted when she sees this:
Bonus points goes to the toddler who makes her mother run naked to fetch the camera before her little darlings move from their perfect positions. Also enjoyable will be watching her giddy self standing on the toilet to gain the proper picture-taking angle in the tiny, unphoto-friendly bathroom.
Miss E has definitely written her very similar version of this book! Right down to the sunglasses! She trotted about our house in them and her pjs every morning – earning ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ nickname from my family lol!

I’ve done the naked camera run too. Difficult to manage when the camera’s downstairs and the bay window is open.
