Poot and Cubby

My apologies to the people reading this who aren’t bloggers and could really care less about these award posts. Tomorrow, I promise stories of the kiddy kind. And they will be brilliant. Really, I promise. In the meantime, there is a bit of bloggy business I need attend to.

It seems that despite my tendency to use words like “fuck” and to talk about things like shit and many other not-so-nice things, Cathy and Nell gave me this:

And while I do love me some bloggy bling and was happy that these sweet women think I’m nice, the button is a wee bit frilly for my taste. So I was excited to see a new version of the button that Jess passed along to about a gazillion bloggers, including me. Isn’t it shiny?

I was going to pass along this new button to people (like Jen, Sarah, The Farmer’s Wife), but it appears Jess has already passed it along to half the blogosphere with her linking superpowers. I didn’t see the following women on her list, even though someone else may have already passed it along to them, so I’ll mention them here:

Mrs. Chicken: Because I sent her a stalkerish e-mail and she wrote me a very sweet reply and has been so kind towards me since, including giving me some much appreciated linky love.

Megan: Because she was the first stranger to leave a kind and thoughtful comment on my blog and has said many flattering things about me (and we all know what a sucker I am for a compliment).

Heather: Because even though she writes a lot about farts, fresh meat, and skidmarks, she is a nice girl.

There you have it.  Ladies, feel free to pass along the sassy button (or the frilly one, if that’s your thing).  And thanks again, Nell, Cathy and Jess – I think you’re swell (did I mention I’m bringing back the word “swell”?)
